BTEC Diploma in Foundation Studies Art & Design
Course Information
Your course is a 1 F/T year programme or a 2 year P/T
The work will be divided into units of work covering a broad range of Art & Design
areas.Each unit will have outcomes and criteria that you will have to meet.
Deadlines will be detailed on each assignment and an action plan will help
you organise your time.
Each brief will be fully explained by your tutor before work begins and
demonstrations will make up part of this introduction to each new assignment/unit
of work.
Work load should be managed by yourself but given deadlines will assist in the
planning for this. Progression depends on passing the units of work covered. It is NOT
automatic continuity to Higher education courses.
The programme will introduce you to the field of Art & Design and provide you
with a solid base on which to build further studies.On completion of the course you
may progress to any of the HND level in Photography, Graphic Design or Textile
Design on offer here in Lurgan or elsewhere.
